Gamma Irradiation Facility

Jordan Atomic Energy Commission has established and operates gamma irradiation facility designed to provide advanced sterilization technology using gamma rays. This method utilizes gamma rays emitted from Cobalt-60 isotopes, which have high permeability, allowing for the effective sterilization of products even when they are in their final packaging.

The gamma irradiation facility offers the following services:
